Science Week in 1st and 2nd Class

1. We discovered what happens when oil and water is mixed together during our lava lamp experiment. We added a fizzing tablet and watched as bubbles began to appear just like a lava lamp. The flash light created a true lava lamp effect!

2. We grew our own gummy bears by soaking them in water overnight. We then compared how much they grew the next day.

3. On Friday, we tuned into a zoom event organised by Teagasc and learned some cool facts about cows, milk and grass! We even got some of our questions answered by the scientists who were involved in the event. We finished our science week off with an Art for Kids hub video, creating our very own cartoon cows!
