Fifth and sixth class held a cake sale in their classroom on the day of the Easter holidays. We also raffled off some fabulous hampers very kindly donated to us by the Kenny and Tobin families. In total €750 was collected for Trócaire - many thanks to all. Thanks to the Parents Association who delivered an Easter egg for each child from the Easter Bunny. Thanks to Mrs.Armstrong for organising the cake sale. Happy Easter to all. 🐇🎉 As a class reward junior and senior infants were allowed to bring in their favourite teddy from home. We had a busy last day of term doing an Easter egg hunt, attending the cake sale, completing busy breaks like 'Easter Run and Freeze', watching a movie together and having our Easter treats! Enjoy the Easter break everyone! Many thanks to the Parent's Association for organising the Christmas raffle to fund the purchase of goalposts for the school playing field. We would also like to thank all the parents and the wider community who purchased tickets for the raffle. The goalposts have now been installed thanks to hard work of N O’ Dwyer, N O’ Sullivan, J Meredith, PJ O’ Halloran, M Walsh and G McCarthy. The children can't wait to try the goalposts out! Na naíonáin shoisearacha agus na naíonáin shinsearacha ag canadh 'Is Buachaill Bó Mise agus Lá le Pádraig'. Junior and senior infants were busy during maths station teaching this week. They revised topics like 2D shapes, length, making patterns, addition and counting. 👏 Junior and senior infants love playing with ping pong balls for a simple movement break! Well done to the girls who took part in the FAI 5 aside blitz in Cahir today. We were able to field two teams on the day and the girls represented the school really well. Well done girls! 1st and 2nd class really enjoyed participating in Junior Achievement with Niall. Thanks Niall. |
