Watch 1st and 2nd class perform their Halloween songs and rhymes below. Also see their “Puking pumpkins” science experiment. They used baking soda and vinegar to investigate the reaction when mixing an acid and a base together. Oíche Shamhna shona daoibh go léir! The Junior and Senior infants have been busy learning songs and rhymes in English and Irish for their Halloween concert. They hope they don't scare you too much! They also learned the dance 'Ghostbusters'.
Trick or treat!!! The Halloween holidays have arrived. We had lots of spooky skeletons & very creative costumes in Lisronagh NS. We hope everyone has a spooktacular break!! The children in Lisronagh NS thoroughly enjoy participating in Maths Week every year. Station 1: Art and Craft - Making prints with food. Marbled apples. Station 2: Small world play - Farm animals, farm mat, barns, toy people and farm machinery. Station 3: Puzzles - Sorting fruit and vegetables, solving jigsaws based in the farm. Station 4: Role play - Writing a shopping list for the farmers' market. Acting out being the shop keeper / customer at the 'Farmers' Market'. Junior and Senior Infants have bee having lots of fun in September learning about families, different types of homes, rooms in a house etc. At the construction table they had fun building different types of homes using lego, stickle bricks and building blocks. There was lots of excitement at the role play area as the children enjoyed playing with the kitchen and baby dolls. In the small world area they played with a doll house. They were also very busy at the creative area, where they explored using playdough and worked on cutting and gluing We took part in the national GOAL jersey day on Friday, October 8th. A massive thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful charity. We raised 260 euros. Well done to Ms.Barry for organising the event. |
