We have been promoting speaking Irish throughout the school with the use of our new puppets. Junior and Senior Infants had great fun dressing up as different community helpers this month. They learned about what each job entails. Well done to these students who were on the winning team who took part in the Moyle Rovers competition in memory of Michael McGrath. 🏆🏐 Congratulations to our 3rd class pupil who has earned medals at some Irish dancing competitions recently. 🎉  We were delighted to welcome Joe Sheehan, a coach with Munster Rugby, to visit our school with the URC trophy that Munster won last season. There were lots of happy and inspired faces! We are looking forward also to doing some rugby training with Joe in the new year! Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed exploring the topic of capacity in Maths recently. The fifth and sixth class pupils were the Science teachers in the infant room today. They showed us lots of cool experiments and explained the results really well. Congratulations to our 4th class pupil who won a medal with her soccer team last weekend 🎉🎉👏👏. We are very proud of you. 👏  Junior and Senior infants really enjoyed exploring magnetism in Science this week. Junior and Senior Infants were learning about the importance of eating healthily and how food fuels our bodies! We tasted different types of fruit and vegetables and some people discovered some new favourites!! We want to say a huge thank you to the students and your families for every Christmas Shoebox sent into school this year. The generosity found in Lisronagh NS is incredible. We collected 83 boxes in total. 👏👏👏🎉🎄 This Christmas there will be lots of excited children in countries across Africa and Eastern Europe, you should all be very proud.❤️🎁🎁 Thanks to the Student Council for helping to organise the collection and to Michéal who brings our shoeboxes to the Team Hope depot. 👏 U11 girls who took part in a recent football blitz. Well done girls. ⚽👏  |
