The Junior and Senior Infants really enjoyed their school tour to Nore Valley Pet Farm in Bennettsbridge, Kilkenny recently. We were blessed with glorious sunshine for the day. The children started off their tour with go-karting. This was followed by a trip to the playground. After that we were given a guided tour of the pet farm. We loved taking turns to feed the donkey. We saw many different animals and learned some interesting facts about the animal. We even got to see some new baby goats that were only three days old!!! Following our guided tour of the farm we got to do some pet handling. We held baby rabbits, chicks and ducklings. They were so cute! We enjoyed having our lunches outside in the fresh air at the picnic tables. After lunch we were taken to a maze!! It was challenging but we all made it out. We then went on a tractor and trailer ride to visit the river. We were told to keep an eye out for Charlie the crocodile!!! Some of us were lucky enough to spot Charlie splashing about in the water. We sang some songs on our tractor ride. We had a lovely time at Nore Valley Pet Farm but it was time to head home again.
We were given goody bags when leaving, much to our delight! We were tired from all our activities. Some people even had a little nap on the bus! Thanks to Mrs.O'Brien, Mrs.McNamara and Ms.Gleeson for joining us on the tour, it was lots of fun. Comments are closed.
