We love to hear our students are participating in extra curricular activities outside of school. We encourage the children to share their achievements with the school and even put their photos up on our Active School Board. Here are some children who had some recent success in rugby, horse riding and dance. Well done to you all!!
We were thrilled to see our Senior Infant student arriving to school today with three medals following her success at a Para Athletics competition in Carlow at the weekend!!! She even got two PB's!!! Well done, we are all so proud of you!
The children in Lisronagh NS held 'Wellbeing Day' on the 2nd of May 2024 as a fundraising event for Pieta House. The children wore bright colourful clothes and enjoyed various different well-being activities on the day like yoga sessions with Brenda from Blossom Yoga, mindfulness colouring, circle time activities, art lesson - inner and outer self portraits, guided meditation and lessons on having a 'Growth Mindset' as well as the magic of the word 'Yet!' . Thank you to everyone who donated. We raised €205!! :)

Junior and Senior Infants were delighted to take home their plants today to plant them in their gardens at home. They successfully grew French beans, peas, cress and sunflowers 👏👏🌻🌱

A big thank you to Joe Sheehan (Clonmel/Munster Rugby) for teaching us rugby skills. The children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions 👏👏🏉 3rd and 4th Class had a visit from John, a fire officer based at Clonmel Fire Station. They learned lots of important information about fire safety and they had an interesting question and answers session at the end of the lesson. Each child also took home a fire safety activity booklet. 🔥🔥 Well done to our fantastic under 13 hurling team who played their hearts out today at the Cumann na mBunscoil blitz .. some great scores and skills on show today! We are very proud of you boys 👏👏👏
Junior and Senior Infants have been learning about how they have grown and changed since they were babies in their SPHE lessons. They enjoyed playing 'Guess Who?' over the last week as they studied each baby picture. 👶👶👶😍
STEM Lego: The infants were challenged today to use their lego to make something move. They were learning new language too like hinges, gears, accordion, crane etc 👏 Junior and Senior infants have been learning about money in Maths this week. They are busy recognising, sorting, naming and adding coins in these pictures. |
